Hello Joya, a French brand of edible hemp, acquired by EMMAC, an integrated therapeutic cannabis group
The EMMAC group, based in London and specializing in therapeutic cannabis, with offices in 8 European countries (including Germany, Switzerland and Spain), has just acquired Green Leaf, the company behind Hello Joya brand which we've already told you about. Hello Joya offers hemp-based food products: pasta, proteins, shelled seeds, energy bars and infusions. And most recently, cookies !
EMMAC thus extends its activities to the wellness sector, in addition to gaining access to the French market. Last January, EMMAC acquired the Swiss company Blossom, a producer of CBD cannabis, whose activities clearly complement those of EMMAC.
«France is an important market for EMMAC and we are confident that Green Leaf's established distribution model, experienced teams and premium product portfolio will advance our strategic growth plans in the region,» said Antonio Costanzo, EMMAC's Managing Director.
At the same time, EMMAC has enlisted the skills and expertise of Aurélien Delecroix, founder of Green Leaf and President of the Syndicat Professionnel du Chanvre.
«EMMAC's acquisition of Green Leaf Company reflects its desire to play a long-term role in the economic fabric of the regions in which the company operates, by promoting local, virtuous supply chains. EMMAC is also particularly keen to preserve the brand's ethical positioning and the Made In France label,» says Aurélien Delecroix.
It's interesting to note that, despite complex regulatory provisions, the French market and its companies are already attracting attractive investment. The start of Green Rush in France?
