The Coffeeshop Club Media is a little gem in the «De Pijp» neighborhood, located just a short walk from the famous Albert Cuyp Market. Be prepared to stay a while: the interior is cozy and clean, the menu offers a wide selection of organic weed and high-quality hash, and the coffee shop’s regulars are often locals. The music is varied, not too loud, and pleasant—a far cry from the cliché of a reggae coffee shop.

The staff at the counter are very friendly. They’ll welcome you in a small entryway, separated from the rest of the café by a glass partition. For now, there isn’t much room to be served, and a line sometimes forms outside the café. But that just makes it all the more enjoyable to appreciate the quality of the products on offer afterward. The quality of the products is truly top-notch, and the prices are lower than at most coffee shops in downtown Amsterdam, even though it’s just a short walk outside the city center (a 5-minute walk from the Heineken Experience).

As for weed, there are several Haze strains: Amnesia Haze (€10 per gram), Super Silver Haze (€11), and Champagne Haze (€12.50). The same goes for the Kush varieties, with Blueberry Kush, Hindu Kush, and Kandy Kush. Also worth noting are Casez Jones, Pineapple (you really have to try this one), and 24K Gold.

When it comes to hash, you’ll find options in every price range, including Moroccan varieties (Amnesia Super Polm, the current trend), Nepalese varieties (Manala Cream, of course), and Afghan hash. For the more experienced, you can opt for Pure Kush Hashish (€17.50 per gram) or Strawberry x Banana (€32.50 per gram), an exceptional product. There’s also some Ice-O-Later, made from Super Skunk or Hindu Kush.
