The best Snapchat dealers
These days, the black market is pulling out all the stops to attract and retain customers. Just as ingenious as this article’s title, by the way: we’re obviously not going to give you the Snapchat handles of the hottest dealers in your area—if that’s what you came here for 😉
While loyalty cards, scratch-off tickets, and free packs of papers have been around for a long time, social media is now widely used. The story is often the same: crackdowns are forcing dealers to become increasingly creative. And they spare no expense.
Villejuif
Le Parisien recently investigated the sale of cannabis in Villejuif, which has taken over following the closure of the «supermarket» in Champigny. In Villejuif, they’re all about brand ambassadors. Mister You will serve as the brand ambassador, showcasing weed and resin in cans on his Snapchat and touting their quality. The result: a surge in customers for Caliweed (the name of the operation) and police custody, followed by a court hearing next July for Mister You.
Grenoble
In Grenoble, We're playing the raffle game. To set themselves apart from other dispensaries, vendors in the Mistral neighborhood are handing out tickets with every purchase and holding a drawing on Snapchat to select the winner. The latest prize up for grabs: a PS4. La Française du Cannabis is already a reality!
Toulouse
Cannabis sellers in Toulouse have clearly taken a cue from the best plugs British or Spanish: the menu is clearly posted twice a day on the bakery's Snapchat, and police patrols are on duty to prevent customers from having any unpleasant encounters. As for Startup Nation, the ovens blend seamlessly into the presidential setting since they're hiring ...and their employees on Snapchat. French Tech has a bright future ahead.
And elsewhere…
Béziers, Houilles, Angers and many others… While traditional newspapers are only now discovering these «new» methods, French consumers are already accustomed to them. The traditional newsstand is evolving into a home delivery service—one that’s more discreet and less dangerous for both the consumer and the seller, with communication channels that are difficult to trace. These same newspapers will likely soon discover Instagram and then La Poste!
