New 2020 varieties from Royal Queen Seeds

Royal Queen Seeds is one of Europe's best-known and most visible seed banks, winning numerous awards at the Cannabis Cups. Founded over 20 years ago, RQS has always offered quality seeds for beginners and experienced collectors alike.

For 2020, the seed bank has taken care of its new collection with the biggest drop of varieties since its creation, largely influenced by Californian trends. And now sells regular seeds.

GG4, Gelato, Cookies... the new crosses from Royal Queen Seeds don't deny their Californian origins.

Cookies Gelato, for example, is a cross between Girl Scout Cookies and Gelato 33, two varieties developed by Californian breeders. The most powerful variety in the catalog, it insists on very pronounced effects and sweet flavors, with intensive production. For seasoned collectors only.

For autoflowering, the Green Gelato Auto, a cross between Green Gelato and Cookies Auto, offers high levels of active ingredients for an autoflowering strain. Slightly sativa-dominant, it's ideal for creative people looking for mental stimulation. Yields are theoretically lower than feminized or regular varieties, but remain very comfortable.

From regular to catalog

New this year, the RQS catalog is enriched with 5 regular varieties: Garlic Mist, Exotic Witch, Pumpkin Kush, Marula Fruit and Mango Crunch.

Some of these varieties have landrace origins, which are then crossed with Californian strains to retain only the desired phenotypes. Marula Fruit is an African landrace, while Exotic Witch and Pumpkin Kush are West Indian landraces.

The organoleptic profiles of these varieties are clearly out of the ordinary. Collectors will be able to choose between indica and sativa tendencies according to the different strains, which will undoubtedly remind some of older varieties.

CBD varieties around 0.2% THC

And for the French, provided this variety can be added to the European hemp catalog, RQS offers Tatanka Pure CBD, a variety that never exceeds 0.25% THC, and which could therefore be offered legally in Europe while remaining below 0.2%.

Tatanka Pure CBD is an in-house cross of Elixir Vitae and Medical CBD, two indica-dominant medicinal strains offering between 9 and 14% of CBD, enough for therapeutic relief without any psychotropic effects.

For Switzerland, RQS offers two varieties with -1% THC, Purplematic CBD, with its purple highlights at the end of flowering, and Joanne's CBD, a cross of the famous Spanish variety Juanita la Lagrimosa, one of the grandmothers of today's CBD varieties.
