Paradise Seeds launches new varieties with Compound Genetics
A new transatlantic partnership brings together one of the most renowned cannabis genetics companies and one of the most popular genetics producers in the United States in recent years. Paradise Seeds, an Amsterdam-based seed bank, and Compound Genetics, a California-based breeder, have announced a partnership that will allow Paradise Seeds to exclusively distribute Compound Genetics products in Europe.
Starting in April, Paradise Seeds will launch three Compound strains: Marshmallow OG, High Society, and La Bomba.
Initially available online on the Paradise website, the strains will be distributed in the coming months. The Compound varieties will also be available exclusively to visitors to the’Spannabis Expo in Barcelona (March 11–13, 2022), alongside the new Paradise varieties.
Connoisseurs will be very excited about the prospect of two pioneering companies in the breeding are helping to forge this connection between the United States and Europe. The partnership brings together two players in the cannabis seed market with a well-established reputation for producing high-quality cannabis strains.
Since its founding in 1994, the Paradise Seeds brand has always produced award-winning varieties, including the Sensi Star, Wappa, Ice Cream, La Amnesia, and Sunset Paradise, and was one of the first to pioneer the use of feminized and autoflowering seeds. The company’s founder, Luc Krol, continues to oversee the breeding program.
Compound Genetics burst onto the scene in 2017, although founder and breeder Chris Lynch had spent many years honing his cultivation skills with medical cannabis crops. Strains such as Jet Fuel Gelato, Apple and Bananas, Jokerz 31, Pavé, and Grape Gas have established the brand as a leader in cannabis flavor profiles, a reputation further solidified by collaborations with other brands Cookies and Runtz.
Luc Krol said, «Paradise is incredibly excited to be working with Compound Genetics as a trusted partner in Europe. We share the same values of passion, dedication, and love for the cannabis plant. We admire their uncompromising approach, their focus on quality, and the incredible work they’ve done to promote flavor in their strains. This partnership represents the coming together of two major forces in the cannabis industry—from the United States and Europe—and we look forward to seeing what the future holds.»
Chris Lynch said, «Compound Genetics is delighted to be working with a company like Paradise, given its long history of distributing high-quality seeds in the European market, as well as its attention to detail and the first-rate service we aim to provide to our customers in the United States. Our numerous discussions have shown us that together, we bring powerful synergy that makes our partnership a perfect fit.»
