Woody Harrelson had to smoke a joint to endure dinner with Trump
In a recent episode from Real Time with Bill Maher, Woody Harrelson confessed that when he sat around a table with Donald Trump in the early 2000s, he needed a little herbal pick-me-up to get through the evening.
And although this was over 10 years ago, the surreal nature of the events can only echo the Donald Trump we know today.
Invited to a dinner party by former Minnesota Governor and former wrestler Jesse Ventura, Woody Harrelson reports that Trump couldn't stop bragging about himself and his accomplishments. That's when Harrelson excused himself to go smoke a joint and keep his brain from exploding.
«It was brutal. I've never met a more narcissistic man. I had to go out halfway through the meal to smoke a joint and armor myself internally for the rest of the evening,» Harrelson explains.
«Is that what you told yourself?» replied Maher, implying that it was just an excuse to go smoke a joint, and that the fact that he didn't smoke one was a bigger revelation.
Harrelson is one of Hollywood's favorite stoners and also a staunch supporter of cannabis legalization. Earlier this year, he revealed that he had given up smoking.
Maher reminded him on the show of their fond memories in Hawaii, before it stopped, and after shutdown.
«I just care about your happiness,» Maher said. Harrelson joked back that it might be time for him to light one up.
