What is a sploof and how do you make one?
Is it really possible to smoke without unpleasant odors permeating the room? Faced with such a problem, decades of stoner teen evolution have led to some fine inventions, such as the towel under the door, or the sploof.
What is a sploof?
Technically, a sploof is a tool for masking smoke odors, consisting of a tube of some kind and several types of paper to filter the smoke.
There are ready-made ones, such as the sploofy, but it's just as easy to make your own.
How do I make a sploof?
There are several ways to make a sploof Some prefer to use a plastic bottle with the bottom cut off, while others prefer a roll of paper towel or toilet paper, or other kinds of tube. Anything goes, as long as it can be used to exhale smoke through.
You will also need scented dryer wipes, which can be used to eliminate cannabis odors. You'll need a rubber band or something else to tighten the sploof.
The process is extremely simple: put 3 or 4 wipes in the tube, not too compacted, then add one on one end, which you tighten with the rubber band or adhesive tape.
You can also choose to add a little activated charcoal to boost the sploof's absorbency. The activated charcoal slips into the middle of the compacted wipes.
If you've opted for a plastic bottle, place the last wipe on the wider end for greater convenience.
Note that a sploof does not guarantee total discretion, and its use is obviously intended for legal products.
