Inna de Yard releases new album «Inna de Yard»

Buoyed by the unexpected success from their 2017 album, The Soul of Jamaica«, and a first sold-out tour of France, including concerts at the Philharmonie and the Trianon in Paris, the INNA DE YARD collective has decided to record a new eponymous opus, this time featuring the most emblematic tracks in their repertoire.

Welded around four lead singers who have crossed the ages with varied destinies (Ken Boothe, Cedric Myton, Winston McAnuff and Kiddus I) and we interviewed in 2017, INNA DE YARD also brings together the trio of septuagenarians Viceroys and the younger generation (Var, Kush, Derajah) who seek to perpetuate the musical tradition of their origins. A number of guests also take part in these exceptional sessions, including Horace Andy and Judy Mowatt (Bob Marley's former backing singer).

The album was released on April 12, and the tour kicks off on June 6.

A film about the band, directed by Peter Webber, who received 3 Oscar nominations for «The Girl with the Pearl», will be released on July 10 in around 100 cinemas in France.
