Arnold's neuralgia and cannabis

📖 State of research

Can CBD relieve Arnold's neuralgia? This very intense pain, which starts in the cervical spine, passes through the side and top of the skull and ends at the temple, causes a great deal of damage to sufferers. The pain is continuous, starts in the morning, lasts all day and is even worse in the evening, when the fatigue of the day sets in.

While CBD can provide an analgesic and anxiolytic effect, also useful for treating pain, neuralgia responds best to treatment with THC and CBD, in a 1:1 ratio, which succeeds in achieving the highest analgesic potency.

However, people do not always tolerate this ratio well, and it is then necessary to start with larger doses of CBD than THC. CBD oils or CBD capsules.

The CBD dosage must be calculated according to the person's weight, paying attention to possible contraindications, as well as possible interactions with already prescribed medications.

Treatment should be started with THC:CBD ratios of 1:2 until correct tolerance to the effects of THC is verified, without the appearance of a psychoactive effect.

Gradually, if necessary, the THC dose is increased until the CBD dose is equalized, i.e. a 1:1 ratio. Sometimes it's not necessary to reach the 1:1 ratio to obtain an analgesic effect, but according to most studies and feedback from people, the 1:1 ratio is the most effective.

If only CBD is used, the analgesic effect is not as powerful, although it can sometimes be sufficient, depending on the intensity of the pain. CBD provides an anti-inflammatory effect which will also be useful.
