The Plug Utopia

The coffeeshop The Plug opened on May 12, 2018, where the Utopia coffeeshop used to be, whose managers are still in touch with the new store. The Plug Amsterdam is the Dutch resurgence of Barcelona's mythical club, known for its high-end varieties and US imports. Centrally located on the Neuwezijds Voorburgwal, The Plug Amsterdam offers both indoor and outdoor dining, where you can enjoy the sunshine if you're there in the right season. Otherwise, the interior is comfortable, with wide leather benches on which you can spread out and enjoy the bright, warm atmosphere.

The Plug offers you a varied range of flowers, with typical coffeeshop varieties such as Amnesia, Kush or Haze, but also a row of American varieties such as Gelato, Purple Punch or Sherbet, two flower varieties and one hash variety from the High Times Cannabis Cup (Zkittlez, El Chapo, Cherry Pie Hash), as well as pre-rolls, rocks and originals like Lift Tickets leaves. The prices are pretty steep, but the quality is top-notch, and the fruity strains from Cali are guaranteed to give you powerful effects and, above all, a taste that seems unreal to anyone used to the French black market.

The menu, visible on a screen above the bar, changes regularly, and from time to time offers hash such as Diamond Polm, Kashmir Dream and Casablanca, for prices ranging from 10 to 20 euros a gram.
