Cannaparade 2018: the results
Last Saturday, the Cannaparade took place in Paris to mark the 17th edition of the Marche Mondiale du Cannabis. We were sponsoring the event with Weedmaps for the second year running, and like last year, we installed our double-decker bus in the middle of the parade.
Around 3,000 people gathered according to the organizer around the day's 4 watchwords: decriminalization of consumption and state regulation, the right to self-cultivation and unblocking access to medical cannabis for sick people.
In addition to our bus, Alchimia came with a reggae float, La Page du Stoner with their Acid / Core float, and the Siffonez collective with a more techno sound.
Senator Esther Benbassa opened the Cannaparade with a speech calling for citizen mobilization. Our bus then welcomed :
- the Patapouf Gang, in the persons of DJ Weedim, Biffty and Julius, for a Place de la Bastille show they know the secret of.
- Bapt'Chill, for the Walk
- Bamao Yendé, on the Place de la République
Thanks to everyone who came out or supported us for the event, and to the various sponsors who helped organize the event (Weedmaps / Alchimia / Alpha-Cat / French Touch Seeds / Graines&Plaisirs / OG Krunch / CBD Livraison and Raw).
And even though medical cannabis will probably be a reality by then, we're already looking forward to seeing you next year!
