1st Cannabis Wedding Expo
The new marriages offering cannabis instead of alcohol is becoming more professional, with the creation of new companies such as Cannabis Concierge Events.
Its creator, Bec Koop, often laughs about it. «At every wedding, there's probably at least one person who ends up in the parking lot smoking a joint. So let's be honest. It's always been there, it's been part of every party and big event. So why not incorporate it into the wedding proceedings?»
Koop and his colleague Philipp Wolf, creator of the Cultivating Spirits, a weed tasting company, during a dinner party or to learn how to appreciate good wines with the right ingredients. cannabis varieties, launch the first Exhibition on Marriage, focusing on cannabis.
The show takes place on January 17 in Sante Fe, New Mexico, and is open to adults only. All traditional exhibitor categories will be present.
«We're looking for the right suppliers and the right places, and people who are open to cannabis and looking for new legal ways to enjoy it : bangs, vaporizers, weed bars, joints, whatever the circumstances.»
The bridal expo will even allow on-site cannabis consumption (bringing your own weed) for those who would like to carefully study the outfits and venues on offer, pulling on a vaporizer or a bong, and then go to the booths of caterers, photographers and other florists, who incorporate cannabis or hop flowers and leaves into boutonnieres.
The flower stand is that of Koop, under the banner Buds & Blossoms.
«80% of our customers are from outside Colorado,» he adds. «Cannabis can be incorporated discreetly and modernly into weddings. Or it can be at the center of the wedding. The expo is really an opportunity to showcase this new trend that isn't going away anytime soon.»
The event will also host 4 conferences, including the following topics: the right combinations between cannabis and wine and food, what to expect when mixing space food and alcohol.
Lauren Gibbs, bride-to-be and cannabis industry serial agitator, will talk about the cannabic wedding she's planning with her husband. The showroom owner will talk about his experience organizing cannabic events, and why he prefers «cannabis parties» to parties with alcohol.
France is not ready to to host such an event at Porte de Versailles, but who knows?
