Cannabis Business France, May 4 and 5, 2020

The cannabis and hemp industry will gather in Paris on May 4 and 5, 2020, to shape the future of the French market.

For its second edition, Cannabis Business France 2020 will take place against a backdrop of change. As France begins a two-year medical cannabis pilot program, this unique networking platform aims to bring together leading business executives to discuss the latest developments in the French hemp and medical cannabis markets.

Dr. Pascal Douek and Dr. Alexandre Maciuk, both members of the ANSM’s expert committee on medical cannabis, will provide an in-depth overview of the use of medical cannabis.

Hélène Moore, Executive Director of’Aurora France, will share her perspective on how to break the deadlock in the French medical cannabis market. The entrepreneurial angle will be represented by industry pioneers in France such as Joanna Weaver-Pelissier, CEO of Be Cann, who will speak about the CBD cosmetics market. In addition, attorneys such as Eveline Van Keymeulen and Marie Sanchez, from Allen & Overy and Nooa Avocats, respectively, will provide a comprehensive overview of the market situation, regulations, and opportunities in France.

In addition to French representatives, international speakers such as Rikke Jakobsen, CEO of Cannabis Danmark, Patrycja Gabriela Bartosz-Burdiak, CEO of Poland-based Orbis Cannabis, and Pavel Kubu, CEO of the International Cannabis and Cannabinoids Institute (ICCI) in the Czech Republic, will compare their respective situations and the developments in France relative to their countries.
