The EIHA 2020 conference aims to showcase the full potential of hemp
The EIHA conference, the world's largest industrial hemp event, will meet online this year to cover the whole hemp topic, from hemp construction to bio-composites, textiles, food and the CBD.
A complete program
Spread over 2 days, the conference will take the time to talk about the many issues surrounding hemp.
It will open with an overview of European hemp markets, followed by EIHA's work on CBD and THC, among others. Various sessions will cover hemp farming and processing, sustainability in construction, the automotive industry and packaging. A Frenchman, Jean-Marie Bourgeois-Jacquet, from Automotive Performance Materials, will be presenting ’The use of hemp fibers in automotive injection molding applications«.
The first day will also include an overview of hemp in North America and a presentation of a documentary project that aims to «capture the global effects of the hemp industries on climate change and society».
Fiber, the breeding, Food and CBD will be discussed on Day 2 of the conference. Numerous professionals will testify to their past actions, and a Dutch CBD producer will talk about «specialized full-spectrum CBD extraction for food» in Germany.
Rewarding innovation
Six nominees are in the running for the «Hemp Product of the Year 2020» award in this year's EIHA Innovation Competition. They include:
- hemp-based cocktail bitters
- hemp phone covers
- a hemp solar home construction project
- a combine harvester dedicated to hemp
- hemp textiles
- hemp milk with blueberries
The registration fees to attend the two-day online event is €250.
