The Cannabinoid Conference 2022 will host the 12th conference of the on October 20 and 21 in Basel’International Association for Cannabinoid Medicines (IACM) and the 1st conference of the Swiss Society for Medical Cannabis (SSCM).

The board of directors of the’IACM and the SGCM are pleased to host another meeting of scientists, physicians, and other healthcare professionals interested in cannabis research and medical cannabis.

The evening of October 20 will also feature the screening of the film The Doctor from Franjo Grotenhermen.
The Doctor is a documentary about the life of Franjo Grotenhermen, a pioneering physician who recognized the therapeutic potential of medical cannabis. A physician, researcher, and political activist, he fought for his patients’ right to legal access to medical cannabis.
The documentary takes place during the 10th Conference on Cannabinoids in Medicine in Berlin in 2019, organized by the International Association for Cannabinoids in Medicine.
(IACM), which Franjo co-founded and led for several years. The documentary is a journey through his life and work over the past 30 years, featuring interviews with his colleagues and scientists such as Raphael Mechoulam, Mark Ware, and others.

L’International Association for Cannabinoid Medicines (IACM) was founded in March 2020. The association’s goal is to share knowledge about cannabis, cannabinoids, the endocannabinoid system, and related topics, particularly with regard to their therapeutic potential.
The Swiss Society for Medical Cannabis (SSCM) was founded in January 2020 as a professional association whose primary goal is to ensure that cannabis is recognized, legally regulated, and clinically implemented in Switzerland. It advocates for a rational, scientific, and destigmatized approach, as well as simplified, non-bureaucratic access to
medical cannabis-based treatments.
