Cannabidiol milk to treat anxiety

If you suffer from insomnia, anxiety or ongoing pain, you've probably already tried a lot of things: alcohol, painkillers, sleeping pills...

They may be momentarily effective, but when their effects wear off, you're right back where you started.

Our British neighbors will soon be able to test a new organic hemp milk, 100%, which promises to calm anxiety and pain, aid sleep and reduce stress, via the effect of cannabidiol oil (CBD).

Relax milk, marketed by Rawligion, contains hemp seeds, cashew nuts, l’coconut oil, vanilla, water and CBD oil.

Michael Isted, herbalist and development consultant for the food company, wanted to develop a drink enriched with CBD because of its medicinal benefits.

CBD oil is made from hemp and contains no psychoactive compounds like THC. So it won't give you a high.

Cannabidiol oil, on the other hand, acts on our endocannabinoid system, which regulates body homeostasis, and impacts mood, sleep, hormone regulation, immune response and pain. Visit endocannabinoid system is made up of millions of receptors in our brain or nervous system, and is one of the most important regulatory systems in the human body.

«The cannabis plant is almost a perfect system: humans are supposed to have a relationship with it because we have cannabinoid receptors all over our bodies,» says Michael.

«Cannabis has everything we need to sustain life, minerals, vitamins, proteins, essential fatty acids. You can even make clothes or building materials with the plant».

Cannabis users aren't the only people convinced of the benefits of CBD oil. The British government has just recognizing the medical properties of cannabidiol, which will be sold from November 1 by pharmaceutical or licensed companies.

«Governments and pharmaceutical companies, particularly in the USA and UK, are investing in scientific research,» explains Michael.

«They're looking at cannabis plantations because they know it's a powerful medicine and that people use CBD for a wide spectrum of medical problems. It's used for a multitude of medical conditions, including anxiety, cancer (particularly against the side effects of conventional treatments), pain, depression or sleep disorders.».
