What put an end to the Brangelina couple? According to sources, either an elusive affair between Brad and a famous French actress, incomplete parenting management or weed. Brad Pitt has never hidden his penchant for weed. But if the rumors are true, this isn't the first time weed has made headlines in his life.

On the set of Jimmy Kimmel Live, Quentin Tarantino reveals how he got Brad Pitt to sign for Inglorious Basterds. All it took was a return trip to France, to the Château de Miraval, where the pair discussed the script with the help of a few herbaceous refreshments.

«We were drinking rosé and he had some really good Pink Floyd rosé,» recalls the director. «We drank some more, and there appeared on the table everything we needed to smoke. It was in a metal can, red with a silver wave. When Brad woke up the next day, he was like, Arrrgghhhh. He saw the rolling gear and started counting the number of wine bottles. There were 6″ of them.

Tarantino would later add that Brad doesn't smoke when he's on film sets.

Pitt appears in the show Real Time With Bill Maher, where the presenter recalls a night when Brad spent the evening rolling joints. «You were rolling these perfect joints,» says Maher. «The most perfect joint I've ever seen. Like a machine... It was better made than a cigarette».

Brad accepts the compliment with a chuckle. «I'm an artist. But he swears he quit smoking when he had his kids. »I'm a dad now. You owe it to yourself to be alert«.

In an interview with Parade magazine, Brad reveals that he had a bit of a dark period in the late 1990s, with self-confidence issues and lots of weed. «I started to hate seeing myself sitting on a couch with a joint in my hand, hiding,» he says. «I started to feel pathetic». Brad also suggests the possibility that his unhappiness in his marriage to Jennifer Aniston contributed to the problem. A suggestion for which he promptly excused. But that didn't stop them both from smoking.

The article's source also says that Angelina Jolie is furious about this habit: «She does everything she can to stay healthy, while Brad lets his life go up in smoke».

According to TMZ, Angelina is filing for divorce. The reasons cited: Brad's penchant for alcohol and weed, combined with anger issues that create an unsafe environment for the couple's children. According to her lawyer, the divorce is only «for the good of the family».

Far from being a celebrity columnist, we're inclined to agree for a more down-to-earth reason: Angelina Jolie wants to get involved in politics and humanitarian causes, while Brad wants to stay in the movie business (and party). This irreconcilable difference of opinion has led to this situation. So, team Brad or team Angelina?
