How High 2 trailer criticized by fans
18 years after the adventures of Redman and Method Man, the cult film How High returns in a second installment to be broadcast on April 20 (obviously) on MTV. Last month, the first images of the film and the announcement of its imminent release excited fans, but the trailer released a few days ago has completely dampened the excitement.
But where are Method Man and RedMan?
The new part of How High had already been criticized by Internet users for the absence of the rapper duo Redman and Method Man, the protagonists of the first film. Instead, the production team chose to cast a new generation of younger rappers. Among them are Lil Baby, DC Young Fly and Lil Yatchy.
If the absence of How High 1 had been met with reluctance, the trailer only made things worse. It was disappointing, to say the least. On YouTube, it accounts for far more dislikes than likes with a huge majority of negative comments.
Fans are all calling for the return of Method Man and Redman: «This is blasphemy, where are Method Man and Redman?», «When the studio thinks they can just replace two black guys... Red and Meth were the only ones who made the movie good!». Another user pointed out that Lil Yatchy doesn't even smoke weed.
As you can see, the trailer didn't win over the public. We'll let you make up your own mind.
