Au Cochon Vert: CBD charcuterie for adults

Au Cochon Vert is a brand of charcuterie for adults—not because it could be used for anything other than an aperitif, but because their charcuterie products contain a «daring» ingredient: hemp.

Everything is good in Sauchichon

The first product from this new brand is the Sauchichon, a sausage made from carefully selected pork from Touraine. Free of preservatives and nitrites, it does, however, contain a few grams of Beaujolais hemp flowers, which balance the meat’s tangy flavor with herbaceous notes and a surprising vegetal freshness.

And what a match! This unexpected pairing offers a completely new and delightful taste experience that’s accessible to everyone (adults, mind you), while supporting local artisanal production and healthy deli meats at every stage.

«I produce artisanal products that are deeply rooted in my local region; I’m part of a supply chain that stretches from the farmer to the consumer. I want everyone to be able to make a decent living from their work. I’d rather sell my meat at a slightly higher price but explain to my customers that my farmer is paid fairly,» explains Fabrice, co-founder of Au Cochon Vert.

A fundraising campaign to launch their production

Through December 5, you can help make Le Cochon Vert a success. Fabrice and Aurélien, the two co-founders, have launched a crowdfunding campaign on Ulule.

And while the 100% goal has already been met, they certainly hope their project will continue to be well-received. The next phases will allow them to acquire the equipment needed to launch a larger-scale production of hemp-based charcuterie; their total costs would amount to approximately 50,000€ if they were to fully equip their operation.
