An unusual job: 50$ an hour to taste cannabis
The cannabis sector has been known to create jobs, but this is a first: the Canadian company A Higher Level Of Thought is looking to recruit cannabis «tasters» to form an expert panel. On the Canadian company's website it reads «Yes, it's a real job». The latter is offering 50 Canadian dollars (about 40$) an hour and 200$CA in expense allowances to five connoisseurs to test weed varieties.
They can work from anywhere in Canada, for up to 16 hours a month, and earn up to around 1,000$CA a month for a job that, let's face it, isn't very demanding. The offer is sure to appeal to cannabis enthusiasts. Selected candidates will also be asked to put themselves on stage on social networks and share their reactions. They may also take part in corporate events, but participation is optional.
AHLOT does not produce cannabis itself, but partners with licensed producers to distribute their products. The committee's aim is to determine which varieties are most worthy of being marketed. Candidates (who must have reached the age of majority) must therefore know what they're talking about: it's not just a question of smoking, but of recognizing the subtle nuances from one variety to another. The selected varieties will be included in the company's sample boxes, which will be distributed on October 17, when cannabis officially becomes legal in Canada.
Earn $50/hr. to evaluate the best that Canada's growers have to offer. Must be of legal age to apply.https://t.co/U83PvBOdFL pic.twitter.com/4yGDy2mxEE
