What varieties of cannabis does SQDC sell?
The 12 stores of the Quebec Cannabis Corporation (SQDC) opened their doors today at 10 a.m. and offer a fairly deep product range. The online store was available earlier this morning and by 8:30 AM, it had already registered over 1,000 orders. Some products are already out of stock, it was observed. TV News.
The shops of the province à fleur de lys are open Monday to Friday from 10 AM to 9 PM and on weekends from 10 AM to 5 PM. It is possible to purchase a maximum of 30g per transaction, an amount that corresponds to the maximum quantity that can be carried on one's person outside the home, where the limit is set at 150g (per household and not per person).
Consumers can also buy their cannabis online. on the SQDC website (not available in France). Package arrival is guaranteed within 2 to 5 days. It can only be delivered in person to the buyer upon presentation of identification.
Cannabis products sold by the SQDC
Customers will be able to choose between six different product types with varying CBD and THC levels:
- dried flowers
- oils
- oral atomizers
- pre-rolls
- pills
- ground cannabis
They will also be able to choose between three different cannabis strains and the intensity of their effects (mild, medium, high).
- Sativaknown for its stimulating, euphoric, and cerebral effect
- Indicarenowned for its relaxing and rather muscular effect
- Hybrid: combination of Sativa and Indica effects
Connoisseurs will be able to choose directly from the cannabis varieties. They are classified on the site according to their species, intensity, price, and also their aroma: woody, citrus, diesel, spicy, floral, cheesy, fruity, skunk, sweet, or earthy.
These varieties all come from producers licensed by the federal government. There are seven of them: Aphria, Aurora Cannabis, Canopy Growth, HEXO, MedReleaf, Tilray Canada.

The products are grouped under various brands recognizable by their packaging. Nevertheless, very strict marketing regulations limit the visual identity of brands, which must primarily highlight health information and are only allowed to display small logos. The idea is not to make the product appealing.
As a preventative measure, the site also lists the potential adverse side effects of cannabis. Among these are: dry mouth, red eyes, rapid heart rate, paranoia, anxiety, confusion, high blood pressure, nausea, and dizziness.
