Materia Ventures partners with Feather to bring Hiatus, the premium CBD vape brand, to the UK
London, April 14, 2020 - Materia Ventures («Materia» or the »Company«), a medical cannabis and wellness company focused on the European market, today announced an exclusive licensing and distribution agreement with Feather Company Ltd. (»Feather") to bring its premium Hiatus CBD brand to the UK.
«We're delighted to bring Hiatus to the UK as we expand our portfolio of some of the industry's most respected brands,» said Deepak Anand, CEO of Materia. «Vape pens are the second largest CBD product segment in the UK and consumers trust companies that don't compromise on safety and quality. We believe that Hiatus, Feather's CBD brand, embodies these principles, making it an ideal addition to our portfolio.»
Nick Pateras, Managing Director, Europe at Materia, added: «Over a quarter of UK CBD consumers claim to use vapes, which represented a segment worth £80 million last year and is growing rapidly. Given the serious health issues reported by some off-label products, consumers need to be vigilant in the products they choose. Hiatus applies best-in-class practices to produce its innovative material, and Materia's formulations meet the highest quality standards for manufacturing and testing, making health and well-being the top priority.»
Hiatus is a premium brand designed to appeal specifically to discerning consumers. The spray pen is built with the highest quality materials and offers an iconic yet understated consumer experience.
Hiatus will be offered in three varieties, targeting the highest states of need for rest, focus and boost. The launch will focus on established online distribution channels, then expand to physical stores as permitted by the UK retail environment.
Under the terms of the agreement, Materia will manufacture and obtain exclusive rights to market and distribute Hiatus's CBD disposable pen and cartridge technology.
«At Feather, we believe that good design has universal appeal, and the opportunity to bring our intuitive product experiences to a wider audience is what drives us,» said Feather CEO Patrick Lehoux.
«Materia shares our passion for quality and customer experience and brings extensive expertise in navigating the competitive and regulatory environment in the UK. We are delighted to partner with them to launch Hiatus and bring a quality CBD consumption experience to all Brits.»
