«High There! the Tinder of weed

Dating apps are definitely available for all types of users. The « High there! »focuses on weed users.

Only available in American states that have legalized the medical or recreational use of marijuana, the application takes up the look and feel from Tinder: users create their profile and swipe between photos of potential dates nearby. The difference is that the app takes the Tinder model a step further: matches are optimized according to each user's consumption preferences. Lazy or energetic stoner? Vapo or blunt ? These preferences will be taken into account to find the perfect match.

The idea came to founder Todd Mitchem when one of his dates ended abruptly after talking about his consumption of marijuana. «I wanted to create a technology to connect the millions of users and get them to meet each other, build relationships between people,» Todd told Mashable. «A lot of people reduce us to the Tinder of weed, but that's just one facet of our app. It's actually much more than that.»

Although the need for medical marijuana is slowly spreading across the American states, Todd adds that it's still a taboo subject. High There! can also serve as a social network for smokers looking for recommendations on dispensaries near them, or just to meet like-minded people.

High There! plans to expand into Canada and all other countries that allow cannabis consumption.
