Medical cannabis experiment gets its sublingual tablets
The Israeli company Panaxia has announced that it has exported its first cannabis sublingual tablets for the French therapeutic cannabis trial.
According to the company's press release, Naxiva-Panaxir tablets contribute to «improved treatment response and patient satisfaction, mainly due to treatment efficacy, simplicity and precision of use».
Dr Dadi Segal, CEO of Panaxia Israel, said: «We are delighted to reach another important milestone in the implementation of our strategy. We are proud to be part, alongside our partner Neuraxpharm, of the spearhead of the world's leading cannabis players selected for the ANSM program.»
What's more, we are the only company in this program to supply cannabis sublingual tablets medical cannabis. According to our forecasts, the French market is set to become one of the most advanced medical cannabis markets in the world, which will be a remarkable growth driver for Panaxia.»
Panaxia was selected for two batches of medical cannabis :
- Oral form for ingestion THC > 5 mg/ml, CBD < 1 mg/ml (Panaxir T20/C0)
- Oral ingestible form THC and CBD > 5 mg/ml (Panaxir T10/C10)
Neuraxpharm France Managing Director Dr Pierre-Hervé Brun commented: «It's a great achievement for us, along with our partner Panaxia, to have been selected as one of the few specialists to offer medical cannabis on the French market under the ANSM program».

French experimentation with medical cannabis began with the dispensing of CBD and/or THC oils. of flowers last summer.
