Eric Adams, former policeman and future mayor of New York, offers weed to Stephen Colbert
Eric Adams, the future mayor of New York City, stopped by Stephen Colbert's «Late Show» on Tuesday with a few gifts. After presenting the host with two packages of rolling papers, Adams announced to Colbert that he had another gift «for later» in honor of the legalization of cannabis in New York.
«One of my best gifts,» Adams said as he pulled the rolling leaves from his bag. «As you know, marijuana is legal.»
«I didn't know!» replied Colbert. «I don't know anything about it, Monsieur le Maire. I'm not in this business.»
«I've got RAW, I've got Bamboo, and I can't give you this gift - I'll give it to you later,» said the mayor-elect, referring to a pouch he pulled from his pocket.

A spokesman for Eric Adams later told the New York Post that the mayor-elect obviously didn't buy pot for Stephen Colbert, but added, «Marijuana is legal and Eric supports its safe personal use.»
