Aktama Coffeeshop (formerly Coffeeshop 156) is located on Hudsonstraat in Amsterdam West, between Erasmuspark and Rembrandt Park—one of the city’s most beautiful parks—in a fairly quiet residential neighborhood away from the city center.

Few tourists know about this place, and it doesn’t get many visitors. This is mainly because it’s a «buy and fly» cafeteria, and as such, few foreign visitors ever set foot inside.

When you walk into this establishment, you'll find a small, very basic glass-fronted counter.

The menu is fairly limited, with only about a dozen herb options.

These are mainly long-established local strains. The hashish selection is much more limited, with fewer than half a dozen options. These are exclusively traditional pressed imports.
