Cannabic events in 2020

The year 2020 will be a hectic one, full of cannabic events in Europe and beyond. Here's the calendar of cannabis events for 2020. All precise dates have not yet been announced and will be updated. This list is not exhaustive, but includes the main events.

However, the coronavirus pandemic has turned the events calendar upside down. Overall, all physical events between March and July have been cancelled for the time being, subject to changes depending on developments in the health situation.

January 2020

Lift Expo

Lift Expo is one of Canada's biggest cannabis fairs. Bringing together amateurs and professionals alike, it takes place in Vancouver from January 9 to 11. If you can't attend, you can make it up to Toronto from May 21 to 31, 2020.

Cannacon

One of the biggest events for cannabis products, services and ideas, Cannacon usually attracts over 11,000 visitors. This year, the show takes place from January 10 to 11 in Tacoma, near Seattle, Washington.

This year, the event takes place in 4 other locations: Detroit, April 3-4; Chicago (dates unknown); Springfield (Massachusetts), August 23-24; and Oklahoma City, September 27-28.

Athens Cannabis Expo

From January 10 to 12, 2020, Athens hosts the second edition of the Greek International Fair for industrial, medical and recreational applications of hemp and cannabis. It will showcase product innovations in the cannabis sector.

Cannabis Wedding Expo

The Cannabis Wedding Expo is now in its 6th year, with 6 events in Los Angeles (January 19), San Francisco (February 15), Las Vegas (March 22), Denver (April 5), Toronto (October 27) and Boston (November 10).

This expo reflects a more popular trend in the United States: cannabis-themed weddings. Dozens of exhibitors will be on hand to guide visitors through their preparations and show them different ways of incorporating cannabis into their wedding. Visitors will also be able to consume on site, in reserved areas.

Cannatech

Cannatech is Israel's meeting place for cannabis science and technology entrepreneurs. It focuses in particular on technological innovations and medical applications of cannabis. This year, it will be held in Davos, in the Swiss Alps, from January 20 to 24, but it's the Tel Aviv edition (March 30-31) that is undoubtedly the best-known.

INDO EXPO

This B2B event focuses on the development of professional networks between the different sectors of the industry (cultivation, processing, wholesale, retailers) and with ancillary industries. It also features conferences and a dedicated hemp pavilion. It will be held in Denver on January 25 and 26, then in Chicago on September 26 and 27, 2020.

Future Cannabis Strategies Europe

This event aims to bring together European industry leaders who deal directly with consumers. This includes categories such as CBD products, beverages, cosmetics and nutrients etc. The aim is to establish together, over two days of discussion, the direction of the industry, consumer trends, the evolution of the legal context and thus identify existing opportunities on the European market. The event will take place in London on January 29 and 30.

Asian Hemp Summit

The Asian Hemp Summit 2020 will bring together industry members, politicians, development agencies, hemp enthusiasts, environmental groups, retailers and consumers from around the world to harness their talents and realize the ever-growing potential of the Asian market. Women Grow

Details of the next Women Gro Summit are not yet online, but it is likely to be held in June, as in the previous year. The summit brings together cannabis professionals to share experiences and develop networks.

International Cannabis Business Conference

The International Cannabis Business Conference (ICBC) brings cannabis industry experts from around the world to San Francisco on February 6 and 7, 2020. Aimed at all cannabis professions (growers, dispensary managers, cannabis-related businesses, community activists), participants will discover tools for developing their businesses and changing cannabis laws.

ICBC will also be present in Barcelona on March 12, in Berlin from April 1-3, in Bern on May 13-14 and in Vancouver on September 11, 2020.

Cannabis Europa

Another benchmark event for the European cannabis industry, Cannabis Europa will be held in Madrid on February 10, following on from last year's Paris edition. The conference series aims to bring together industry players to facilitate exchange and support the development of the European therapeutic cannabis industry. A second 2020 edition will be held in London in June.

CannX Lisbon

CannX is a conference exploring the latest science, technology and investment opportunities in medical cannabis. It takes place on February 12 and 13, 2020 at the PArc des xpositions in Lisbon.

Canapa Mundi from Rome

The 6th edition of the Rome Hemp and Cannabis Fair will be held from February 21 to 23, 2020. It has been bringing together European hemp professionals (growing tools, seed companies, accessories) since 2015, and is growing in importance every year.

March 2020

Europe Canna Expo Dublin

On March 3 and 4, 2020, Dublin will play host to Europe Canna Expo. Following last year's successful inaugural Europe CBD Expo in London, the event is now expanding into several events across Europe and has been renamed Europe Canna Expo. The event will cover all aspects of CBD, cannabinoids and medical cannabis.

Stepping High Festival (Jamaica)

The Stepping High Festival is a clever mix of exhibition, lectures and reggae concert, and will be held on March 20 and 21, 2020 in Negril, Jamaica.

Hemps and CBD Expo

The B2B and B2C exhibition aims to bring together CBD and European hemp professionals and showcase their products to the public. The event is billed as the first of its kind dedicated to hemp and CBD in the UK. It will be held in Birmingham from February 29 to March 1, 2020.

Spannabis from Barcelona

Surely the most eagerly awaited event in the Spanish cannabis world, the 17th edition of Spannabis will take place from March 13 to 15 in Barcelona. ICBC Berlin

ICBC Berlin has become a must-attend event for European entrepreneurs and activists. It's also an opportunity for potential investors to find partners. This year's event runs from April 1 to 3.

Cannabis Science Conference

This conference, as its name suggests, focuses on the science of cannabis. It brings together experts from the industry and ancillary industries such as testing labs, scientific researchers and healthcare professionals, as well as policy-makers and entrepreneurs of all kinds. It will be held in Baltimore from April 6 to 8 and in Portland from August 31 to September 2. It attracts thousands of participants every six months.

The CannaGrow Expo

The CannaGrow Expo is an exhibition dedicated to cannabis cultivation. It brings together growers and cannabis enthusiasts to discuss new technologies, techniques and tools for cultivation and extraction. It will be held on April 17 and 18 in Chicago.

Indica Sativa Trade de Bologna

The seventh edition of the Indica Sativa Trade will take place from April 17 to 19, 2020 in Bologna. Boise Hempfest

An Idaho educational event, Boise Hempfest aims to change Idaho's cannabis laws, which remain extremely restrictive when it comes to cannabis. The event campaigns for the legalization of medical cannabis, the decriminalization of cannabis and the development of industrial hemp. Boise Hempfest will be held on April 18, 2020 in Boise, Idaho.

National Cannabis Festival

Created in 2015 by a group of enthusiasts to celebrate the legalization of cannabis in Washington DC and elsewhere in the US, the National Cannabis Festival has managed to make a name for itself. It has notably hosted the band Cypress Hill and attracts over 10,000 participants every year. This year, Method Man & Redman and Young M.A. will be present. The festival takes place on April 18.

Hanfexpo Vienna

From April 24 to 26, the 2nd edition of this exhibition dedicated to hemp will be held in Vienna at the Marx Halle. The event is expected to attract 15,000 visitors.

Mardi Grass at Nimbin (Australia)

La Cannaparade

Like every year now, the French Cannaparade is back in May, on the 9th in the capital and the 2nd in the provinces.

Cannatrade

Switzerland too has its own cannabis fair. Since 2001, the Foire Internationale du Chanvre has been welcoming European cannabis enthusiasts. This year, the fair will take place from May 15 to 17, 2020. It will also be the occasion to publish the results of the Canna Swiss Cup.

Med-Cannabis 2020

The congress will be held in Copenhagen on May 21 and 22. The first edition was held in Vienna, the second in Barcelona, both with a certain degree of success. Spring Marijuana Business Conference and Expo

Self-styled the oldest cannabis show in the U.S., this business-focused exhibition will feature booths and conferences on June 3 and 4 in New Orleans. The show also takes place in New Orleans on the same dates, in New York City and in Las Vegas later in the year for MJBizCon, the latter being the flagship US event. These shows are organized by the leading B2B journal Marijuana Business Daily and have clearly become indispensable.

Mary Jane Berlin - Cannabis and Garden Expo

17th EIHA Hemp Conference

This exhibition/conference brings together the international B2B cannabis industry in Toronto.
