Aurélien BERNARD

Aurélien Bernard is the founder and editor-in-chief of Newsweed, the first French-language media outlet dedicated to legal and global cannabis news, which he set up in 2015. For over ten years, he has been following and deciphering the evolution of cannabis regulatory policies around the world, with a particular focus on emerging markets, public health issues and European and North American legislative dynamics.

Even before the subject became a mainstream debate in France, Aurélien positioned Newsweed as an independent reference source, covering advances in medical cannabis as well as transformations in the CBD market, international legislative experiments and the rise of the cannabis industry in pioneering countries such as Canada, the Netherlands and Uruguay.

Over the years, he has developed a cross-disciplinary expertise in plants. Cannabis sativa and its derivatives - cannabinoids (CBD, CBG, THC, THCV), extraction methods, varieties and genetics - while maintaining a rigorous editorial line rooted in facts and scientific sources.

Newsweed is now present in six countries and six languages (French, Spanish, Italian, Dutch, Portuguese and German), an expansion that reflects Aurélien's vision of structured, credible European cannabis journalism.
