Zoë Dubus holds a doctorate in contemporary history. Her research focuses on the transformations of media practices and health policies related to the use of psychotropic drugs, from the 19th century to the present day in France.
She endeavors to understand the relationships physicians have with consciousness- and sensory-altering substances, alternately considered as innovative medicines or as toxins, notably LSD, morphine, and cocaine.
