Well, on a more serious note, I actually had the chance to discover this product and test it under real-world conditions—my own, that is—during my «second Sunday» hike!

Before I go into detail about my expedition, I have to tell you about unboxing this beast!

My first impression was very positive because the box itself was very well protected inside its shipping carton, lined on both sides with air pockets and small pieces of material that look like Styrofoam, but the packaging reminds me that they’re biodegradable—and that’s a nice touch!!

The Puffkit's packaging is really well done; the box is clearly «high-end.» It contains an instruction booklet and the famous kit, which is nestled inside as if in a jewel case—it's very well put together!

Getting started is a breeze. There you go! Isn't that a great title?! Haha!

The product is beautiful and well-finished; every feature is clearly identifiable at a glance. I took the time to completely disassemble the puffkit to appreciate each component and test how the pipe assembles. Once again, it’s simple, quite attractive, and seems functional! I immediately tested the rolling papers and filters provided, and aside from the rolling paper being a bit narrow and bleached, nothing to report!

The day of the test is here!!

Yes, here we go—last Monday, I got together with two friends and organized a little hike in the Catalan hinterland to put the Puffkit to the test and try it out in real-world conditions… outdoors, without any complicated gear, and with our legendary wind!!

To do this, I prepared the kit as I should have. I filled the lighter with gas, placed a few dried flowers in the designated spot, I also took the time to place three pre-rolled joints inside and check that everything was working one last time before setting off on my adventure—and that’s when I discovered a minor flaw (Spoiler alert: in my opinion, it’s the only notable one)!

Actually, as I was rolling these little papers, I wondered whether the pack was standard size or not so I could replace it with my favorite brand of rolling paper… And the answer is no. To be honest, I went to my local tobacco shop and bought every slim king-size option available on my block, and despite the plethora of different brands and packs, none of them work. Too bad, but hey, it’s just a pipe 😉

Once everything was ready to serve, we set off on a lovely little GR trail running along a gorge to enjoy the creature in its natural habitat!!

First off, I have to say that the spot for pre-rolls is undeniably a plus… and anyone who’s ever rolled one on a day when the tramontane is blowing will readily agree… we really appreciated being able to smoke during our hike without constantly having to battle the elements just to roll a joint.

Once we arrived at our destination, I started setting up the hookah, and to say the least, it’s quick and it attracts curious onlookers. Other hikers were there enjoying the view, and they liked the idea and the shared pre-roll, which seemed to break the ice.

Once the pipe was assembled and primed, I was able to use my stash of buds thanks to the grinder, which—though not wide enough for my taste with my big hands—does the job just fine (watch out for the magnet that holds the two parts of the grinder firmly together!!) and so I could enjoy myself without worrying about the wind (the torch lighter is great!) and with ease… (Note to stoners: don’t hesitate to go above the recommended water level so the «downstem» stays fully submerged—even if the puff kit isn’t held perfectly straight, don’t worry—the rubber seals that keep everything watertight do their job without a problem!!)

All in all, a pleasant experience—with a view, please.

Anyway! To wrap things up, I’d happily recommend this product to anyone who, like me, enjoys their favorite flowers in the middle of nowhere… The all-in-one design is a real plus, and it’s even a bit of fun—once you’re a little high—to have to put it back together. We had a good laugh doing it, anyway! Lol
