Tilray opens its educational platform on medical cannabis
In mid-July, Tilray launched a new platform called WeCare-MedicalCannabis to spread the word about benefits of medical cannabis.
The website WeCare-Medical Cannabis was launched with sections for patients, caregivers, and healthcare professionals seeking information on medical cannabis.
Sascha Mielcarek, CEO of Tilray Europe, highlighted the need for a clear source of information. «As global pioneers in medical cannabis, we are aware of the lack of access to scientific education on medical cannabis,» said Mielcarek.
«WeCare-MedicalCannabis was created to fill this gap and help provide the resources needed to assist patients, caregivers, and healthcare professionals in finding the information they need to make informed decisions about medical cannabis. While the cannabis legalization »As it continues to expand across Europe, Tilray Medical is committed to providing informed and reliable advice to those who wish to learn more about medical cannabis."
The website organizes these resources using a «who, what, when, where, how, and why» format to present and structure the information. Everything is available, from the history of medical cannabis to evidence highlighting its unique properties, as well as recommendations on how to use it.
«WeCare-MedicalCannabis provides science- and research-based content on cannabis, tailored to healthcare professionals, caregivers, and patients, to help them make informed decisions about medical cannabis and support them on their journey to discover how medical cannabis can promote well-being and health in daily life,» states Tilray’s press release.
WeCare-MedicalCannabis provides information for four European markets: France, Germany, Portugal, and the United Kingdom.
«Medical cannabis isn't anything new. It is used for thousands of years. »But we realize that for many people—whether patients, caregivers, doctors, pharmacists, or other healthcare professionals—this is something new, potentially confusing, or even concerning," reads the WeCare-MedicalCannabis website.
«The WE CARE platform was developed to become the most reliable and respected online resource for questions related to medical cannabis. Whether you’re just learning about medical cannabis or already have some knowledge, this website can serve as your one-stop resource for more information on the many aspects of medical cannabis.»
