Tilray acquires Lyphe and strengthens its UK presence
Tilray Brands continues its transformation into a hybrid global player at the crossroads of the medical marijuana, and beverages and well-being.
In a press release issued on April 15, 2026, the Nasdaq-listed group (TLRY) announced several strategic initiatives aimed at strengthening its presence in Europe and preparing for possible regulatory change in the United States.
The company, based in New York and Leamington, Ontario, says it is entering a «new phase of international growth», built around three pillars: health, cannabis and beverages.
Irwin D. Simon, CEO of Tilray, sums up the group's ambition: «Tilray Brands sets the pace for global innovation in health, cannabis and craft beverages, each a distinct growth engine within our platform.»
Tilray acquires Lyphe and strengthens its integrated model in the UK
The major announcement concerns the’acquisition of the Lyphe group, a British company specializing in medical marijuana, combining a clinic and a digital pharmacy. Tilray notes that Lyphe Dispensary has already distributed around 150,000 units, while Lyphe Clinic would have processed more than 16,000 patients.
For Tilray, this transaction represents a strategic foothold in the fast-growing UK market, strengthening its division. Tilray Medical. The company is highlighting the creation of its first fully integrated clinical and pharmaceutical platform, linking production, prescription and distribution.
Tilray explains that it aims to combine Lyphe's digital structure with its European infrastructure, in particular via CC Pharma, its German pharmaceutical distribution subsidiary. Rajnish Ohri, the group's international president, explains the importance of the patient-centric model: «This acquisition marks an important step in Tilray Medical's continued expansion as a global healthcare platform.»
Tilray also indicates that it expects this acquisition to be relative from 2027.
BrewDog: Tilray aims to relaunch an iconic craft beer brand
The second priority project: relaunching the BrewDog, recently acquired by Tilray. Six weeks after concluding the agreement, the group claims to have already stabilized production volumes, maintained service levels and begun integrating new distribution partners.
Irwin Simon believes there is significant turnaround potential: «We see a clear path to rebuild BrewDog and return it to its previous valuation of over a billion dollars.»
Tilray announces plans to invest in innovation, brewery-restaurant modernization and customer experience. A pilot project for the «brewery-restaurant of the future» will enable the company to test new formats and evaluate potential improvements across the entire network.
The Group is also aiming for accelerated international expansion of BrewDog, with declared priorities in the following areas United Kingdom, in Australia and United States, while also citing markets such as the Middle East and the’India.
