This plant has its roots on the African continent, the original genetics travelling from Swaziland to Europe a few years ago. A powerful plant renowned for its strength, this fiery (but «Irie») Sativa has been crossed with Dutch varieties to make a reliable plant with a high success rate. Strong and bushy in the pure tradition of good Sativas, it's a top-of-the-range plant that likes to grow if you let it.
The Dutch Dragon has its fans in the houseplant community. Because of its natural tendency to chase light (both artificial and natural), this beast can be a challenge if your growing space is limited in height, but it's easily tamed with practice. If indoor space is large enough to allow the beast to advance, the result is rapid, vigorous growth and very high yields.
It's a great strain for beginners to outdoor cultivation, especially for those gardening in the southern hemisphere, southern Europe and also the southern regions of the USA and South America. A Mediterranean climate and plenty of sunshine are the ideal ingredients for plants to grow into massive bushes (we've seen some reaching over 3 meters in height). It's in the genes! Outdoors, in the northern regions of the planet, Dragon must be left until mid-October before being cut down.
Expect a voluminous harvest (which will far exceed expectations if the outdoor environment is right). This plant's African heritage gives it sticky flowers that are as thick as a dragon's tail and oh... so sweet!
