LovaPets, tailor-made CBD products for pets

Launched in 2019, LovaPets is both a pioneer and a specialist in the manufacture of custom CBD products for pets—a first in France and Europe.

Drawing on the expertise of French botanists and animal health specialists—including veterinarians passionate about developing alternative solutions—LovaPets decided to combine their knowledge to create a line of natural products for dogs and cats.

LovaPets was founded to provide an effective and concrete solution to the cause of animal welfare. Their products feature custom-formulated and precisely dosed blends made with natural, organically grown 100% CBD oil and organic 100% salmon oil, designed for pets.

As for whether CBD is just as effective for animals, Yann, co-founder of LovaPets, tells us:

«Just as it does in humans, CBD interacts with animals' endocannabinoid receptors, which are located in the central and peripheral nervous systems (CB1 and CB2). So it's just as effective.".
On the other hand, what sets animals apart from humans is their appetite. Humans are sometimes able to force themselves to swallow medicine that is good for their health but doesn’t taste very good.
»You can't force an animal. If what it sniffs doesn't interest it, you'll have to find something else. So that takes a little more work and research."

LovaPets has thus benefited from several months of testing on dogs and cats of various sizes and breeds, in collaboration with renowned French veterinarians through the company GroupC. In 2018, GroupC launched a project focused on animal welfare in livestock using CBD-based technologies, in partnership with the Polytechnic University of Madrid. The goal was to gain an understanding of the benefits of CBD in the general diet of livestock, which humans ultimately consume.
