Demetearth: A complete organic solution for living soil
Living Soil cultivation is a method that focuses on the microbial life of the soil. Over the course of evolution, nature has developed a symbiotic relationship between plants and the soil's microbial life: fungi, bacteria, protozoa...
These micro-organisms form a food web in the soil that helps feed the plants, in exchange for the carbons and sugars the plant releases through its roots into the soil. In this style of organic cultivation, the power is given to the plants, which, as living beings, have evolved over time to learn to feed themselves by finding what they need in the soil in which they live. It is this soil ecosystem and its relationship with the plant that is called living soil.
In this logic, Demetearth has created various kits and packs to create the right living conditions in the soil. Such inputs help to produce hardier plants with much higher terpene expression by further broadening the nutrient spectrum. Oxygenated compost teas, for example, supplement soil and plants from growth to flowering.
From germination to mulching
Throughout their journey, plants need nutrients to grow, including oxygen, nitrogen and calcium. Some are absorbed from the air, others from the soil.
Demetearth offers a range of products to meet these needs:
- a mulch kit that keeps the soil moist and temperature stable while protecting the first layers of organisms and nutrients from light
- a germination pack for living soil to shorten germination time and increase root development
- a Super Soil pack to transform your soil into Living Soil
- oxygenated compost tea solutions
Plants that grow in living soil are more robust and considered, on the legal markets, as superior quality plants. Yields may be a little lower, depending on the strain, but the quality more than makes up for it!
