Download the SPC white paper on hemp and well-being in France
A few months after publishing a white paper on medical cannabis, the Syndicat professionnel du chanvre (SPC) is tackling hemp for well-being.
Written by Augur Associates, this white paper brings together the available knowledge on wellness hemp, i.e. products derived from hemp that are not intended to be prescribed as drugs (medical use) or to provide psychotropic effects (recreational use), containing a maximum level of 0.3% of THC and generally cannabidiol (CBD).
Today, the sector's development constrained by the French authorities' obstructions on the use of hemp flower. The SPC considers that it is time to change the regulations to create a new industry, as the French National Assembly has launched a parallel information mission on the various uses of cannabis.
The white paper on wellness hemp also brings together proposals from players in the sector to enable the development of a responsible, stable and supervised French industry and enable :
- to cultivate, process, distribute and consume hemp flowers in accordance with European law
- provide new, highly profitable outlets for farmers wishing to invest in this sector
- ensure product quality and traceability for consumers
- certain rural areas to revitalize their businesses
- entrepreneurs to invest in this sector without worry
The white paper is available for download at Augur Associates website.
