French Touch Seeds: breeding à la française

As we all know, the French legal framework is not exactly favorable to the cannabis industry. But that hasn't stopped some enthusiasts from creating the first French seed bank, French Touch Seeds.

FTS, for those in the know, offers a number of cannabis strains for sale, the result of breeding and safeguarding old varieties. Visit breeding is the work of cultivation and crossbreeding that either creates new cannabis varieties, or improves some of them, to keep only the best phenotypes that develop specific traits: a particular taste, high yields or fast growth, for example.

FTS has a predilection for French landraces from the islands, and works in collaboration with the Breeders Bourbon collective (for Mang'Carot and Kalité Tizane, for example), but also for old varieties that have been cultivated for a long time in France.

To make things easier for itself, FTS works partly from Spain. But part of the operation is still carried out from France. In fact, it was a meeting between two breeders, one French and the other Spanish, that sealed the beginning of the adventure. Today, 4 Frenchmen and 1 Swede share the work between the two countries.

Several of the brand's iconic varieties can be found in their boutique:

• Sativa des Rois: from a long selection of AK 47, with a taste of Skunk
• Douce Nuit: a cross between Northern Light and Indi Kush, a large indica
• Irie and Renaissance: two regular strains with high CBD content
• Kikiriki, a beautiful sativa with an exotic aroma
• Frencheese: a cross between Super Skunk and Master Kush, with a pronounced cheese flavour
• the Deedee: a cubing (cross between a plant and its great-grandparent) on the Riricut (a famous Sour Diesel IBL plant selected by breeder Riton)... for Sour Diesel lovers!

Seeds are delivered in a small hessian bag sealed with wax, with instructions for use inside. Depending on the variety, they are available as feminized versions (to please as many people as possible) or as regulars (because we know how to make quality too). made in France !).
