The Abominable Weed Man
It's a legend that's better known on the other side of the Atlantic: sasquatch (for Canadians) or bigfoot (in the USA and Europe). This human-shaped creature is said to still inhabit American forests, leaving enormous footprints, hence its name.
There's now a weedy version of the Sasquatch: the «Pot Sasquatch», a leafy creature that only shows up during blizzards and harasses local meteorologists.
At least, that's the surprising encounter that Jennifer Pagliei, a reporter for Channel 22News, had while reporting from the Massachusetts snowstorm in Springfield. Pot Sasquatch, probably in search of food after a foggy afternoon, stopped briefly in the background of the report, a sort of video bomb, before resuming his journey towards, presumably, the nearest dispensary.
Massachusetts legalizes recreational cannabis on November 8, which may explain why the Sasquatch are now also allowed to consume their own weed.
