The Deedee is one of the many varieties available from French Touch Seeds. It took several years of breeding to come up with a stable version of Deedee, which is nothing other than a cubing of Riricut, in other words, a plant that has been crossed with its great-grandparent, a Riricut-based Sour Diesel IBL (in bred line, Each seed will have the same characteristics) from Reservoir Seeds.
FTS's work lived up to the reputation of the famous and highly regarded Riricut, which comes from the French cannabis community. Its flavours are very intense and distinctive: a strong blend of Diesel and lavender.
Its effects are stimulating and energizing, perfect for socializing. Riricut was tested at Spannabis 2010 by CannaResearch and contained 24.5% THC.
Riricut's cubing stabilized his Sour Diesel origins. The male used for this triple backcross came from a cross between a Bubba Kush and a Kikiriki. The result is an indica-dominant hybrid (75%).
Deedee grows vigorously and stretches considerably during the flowering period, making it highly suitable for SCROG cultivation. Flower development is explosive during the last weeks of flowering, with the appearance of huge popcorn calyxes.
The smell is strongly reminiscent of Diesel and lavender, with hints of lemon, especially during the first weeks of drying. Some phenotypes will have hints of Bubba Kush and rounder buds.
The effect of Deedee is euphoric and uplifting, sometimes hilarious.
Many years of work went into making this cubing on the famous Riricut... a Sour Diesel ibl from Reservoir Seeds... we used a male of our own ( Bubba Kush x Kikiriki ) for the first outcross and the result lived up to our expectations, very similar to the mother: SOUR! Beware of the significant stretch in this sativa with record internodal distances, ideal for indoor and outdoor Scrog. You always think this variety is going to be low yielding, only to be surprised as the flowering progresses, with a surprising ‘Popcorn’ effect at the end of the flo. The lavender diesel fragrance is unique, with a hint of Bubba Kush flavor on certain phenos and the buds a little more rounded... an exceptional plant to keep in PM absolutely! Collectors, to your cuttings, there won't be enough for everyone...
