Cannabis fell from the sky in Israel yesterday! A drone dropped hundreds of bags of cannabis on the streets of Tel Aviv.

This downpour was in no way divine, however, but the work of a pro-legalization Telegram group, the «Green Drone», which had warned of the coming experiment on its network: «It's time, my dear brothers. Is it a bird? Is it a plane? No, it's the Green Drone distributing free cannabis from the sky. Enjoy my beloved brothers, this is your brother pilot, making sure we all have free love.»

Several dozen people were able to pick up the bags from the ground, as local videos show.

Green Drone plans to continue its «cannabis rain» project, delivering 1kg of cannabis divided into 2g bags every week. Two people suspected of operating the drone have nevertheless been stopped.

The medical cannabis is legal in Israel, a pioneer in research on the subject, and decriminalized adult use awaiting legalization.
