«High Hopes»: Jimmy Kimmel produces cannabis series for Hulu, out April 20
Hulu plans to celebrate April 20 with Jimmy Kimmel. The Disney-backed broadcaster has ordered a six-episode series of High Hopes, a documentary about two brothers running a cannabis store in Los Angeles, with Kimmel on board to executive produce.
High Hopes is described as a «workplace reality series that follows Belarusian-born brothers Slava and Mishka, and their team of stoners, through the trials and tribulations of their cannabis business as it reaches new heights. MMD, one of the oldest Hollywood cannabis dispensaries, The team's new location attracts an eclectic mix of weed-loving customers and is a real home for its hard-working employees, who smoke even more! This season builds up to the most important day of the year, 420, as the team attempts to expand nationwide and launch their own high-end cannabis brand. Will they find what they're looking for, or will their hopes go up in smoke?»
The series will be broadcast for the first time on April 20 , 420 on Hulu and on your favorite platforms in France shortly afterwards. Watch the trailer below.
High Hopes is based in California, the first American state to have authorized the medical use of cannabis. Adult use is also legal in California since 2016.
