Cannabis in Panama

Cannabis use has been regulated in Panama since 2021.

Law no. 242 of October 1, 2021 legalized the use of cannabis and its derivatives for medical and therapeutic purposes in Panama. This law regulates issues such as import, export, production, manufacture, storage, distribution, use and consumption for medical, veterinary, therapeutic, research and scientific purposes. In other words, the use of cannabis in Panama is authorized for medical purposes.
