In Quebec, an exceptional Gelato #33 with 25% of THC
Warning: this is pure luxury. With this product, we’re not at a youth hostel—we’re at the Plaza Athénée. The small Quebec-based producer Lot 420 has announced the release of Gelato #33, one of the most sought-after cannabis strains in the world. In Quebec, it’s sold exclusively at SQDCs, the public cannabis retailers. Available since April 20, on International Cannabis Smokers' Day, a 3.5-gram jar costs 42 Canadian dollars, or 30 euros—the same price as one gram of that same strain on the French black market.
This Gelato #33, nicknamed the «Larry Bird,» was created by the king of the breeders, Sherbinski, that Newsweed had met last year. It contains 25% of THC, which is rare in Canada. «Very few restaurants succeed. The difference lies in the kitchen staff—the chef, the sous chef, and the ingredients we use.», says Jean-Romain Péclet, co-founder of Lot 420, interviewed by the Quebec newspaper La Presse.
On Reddit, fans are raving about it. «It's expensive, yes, but the quality is excellent. The buds are dense and covered in trichomes. It smells like lemon and tastes creamy. The hit is strong and very pleasant!"« , "one of them exclaims in wonder". «Laughter and energy», notes another, regarding the #33 phenotype of the Gelato.
Rappers' Favorite Variety
The Gelato #33 owes part of its fame to the rappers who have embraced it en masse at the expense of «OG Kush.» A THC-rich hybrid, it relaxes both the body and the mind, depending on the deferrals premises.
Gelato was created by crossing two strains developed by «Sherbinski.». «We created Pink Panties, which is also the parent of Sunset Sherbert, which I pollinated with a Cookie, and that led to Gelato, he recalls in an interview with Newsweed. The Gelato numbers are actually the numbers on their containers; I had about a hundred of them. »The Gelato 33 is nicknamed 'Larry Bird'—that was his jersey number with the Celtics."
This variety also benefits from a hype, since its founder is named «The Louis Vuitton of cannabis» by the prestigious Forbes magazine. Everything he touches turns to gold. And so it sells for a fortune.
