This French beekeeper makes cannabis honey
He goes by the name of Nicolas Trainerbees and is quickly becoming the darling of beekeepers and cannabis enthusiasts. The reason? He has taught his bees to make honey from cannabis plants.
Nicolas is 39 years old and lives in France. In addition to his work as a beekeeper, he is a trained locksmith and a passionate advocate for medical cannabis. In fact, he has been using it since he was very young to treat his hyperactivity. His passion for animal training has led him to teach all sorts of things to lizards, tarantulas, and—most relevant to us—bees.
I've taught my bees a few things, such as collecting sugar from fruit instead of from flowers. And I wanted to teach them how to get this resin.
Using what he calls a «training technique to get the bees to collect the resin and use it in their hive,» Nicolas and his bees created the first sample of cannabis honey, or as he calls it, cannahoney.
The production of cannahoney is a very recent development, and as far as we know, few people have mastered this technique. Consequently, no research has been conducted to study the transformation of cannabis resin into honey using cannabis strains such as the Blue Dream. But Nicolas says that, like all products made by bees, his cannahoney combines the health benefits of honey and cannabis.
And as for whether bees are high after harvesting, the answer is no. Unlike mammals, bees do not have endocannabinoid system. THC and all other cannabinoids therefore have no effect on them.
His bees aren’t picky and will accept any variety of cannabis, which can lead to an almost infinite range of flavors. His honey is, in fact, delicious and pleasant, with a taste reminiscent of the fresh plant—as if you were biting into a flower with all your might. It has a «very floral» aroma, with a color ranging from white to yellow. And for those wondering, yes, the honey is psychoactive. Nicolas is currently awaiting the test results for his cannabis honey to find out exactly what its properties are.
Nicolas Trainerbees takes a lot of risks to pursue his passion. His plants grow in the wild but must be moved closer to the hives so the bees can collect pollen from them. He also says he wants to move to Spain soon to treat his condition legally and connect with industry professionals who can help him analyze his honey and perhaps expand his production.

No, honey is not psychoactive as long as it isn't heated. THC, the psychoactive molecule, is produced by breaking down molecule A of THCA, which is the basic non-psychoactive component of cannabis.
Unless you heat the cannabis, you'll never get a psychoactive product. It's just chemistry.

Hmm, I think you’re answering the question a bit too quickly without even considering the honey-making process. Yes, THC needs to be heated to become psychoactive, but once the bees have finished passing the nectar from one to another orally, they deposit it in the wax cells so that it heats up and the water evaporates. So there is indeed a heating process that allows THCA to convert to THC in a completely natural way.

Yeah, well, you must’ve learned chemistry by falling asleep in front of *Breaking Bad*…. I’d love to give you a lesson, but your brain must’ve overheated lately and become psychoactive too! Hahaha :p The only heat a weed plant gets is from the sun… and for photosynthesis. . Not to carry out a chemical process in a lab to make a plant psychoactive… Anyway, I don’t even know why I’m responding to you since what you’re saying makes no sense at all (weed-wise :) ^^

Hey, smarty-pants, how do you explain that when you eat a cannabis bud, you get high? After all, you didn't heat it up before eating it, did you?
That's because there's already THC in the plant.
So no, you don’t need to heat it up to get high; heating it is necessary if you want to dilute it in a liquid, for example, in water or milk (although you don’t really need to heat the milk as much, since THC is fat-soluble and milk is fatty), if you want to make yourself some tea and you don’t heat your water to 90°C, then obviously, you won’t really get high.

Our country is truly backward and reactionary. And here I was thinking I lived in a progressive country— but I see that issues—which neighboring countries have resolved through their open-mindedness—are still being mulled over by old, rigid minds who can’t see beyond a bottle of 12.5° red wine (which is allowed, mind you!).

Otherwise, there's no need to get too deep into the debate—this article is taken from the website http://www.ledailyberet.fr/ which, like Legorafi for example, publishes ‘fake news’… It’s definitely creating a buzz (like bees buzzing around cannabis) ^^

Oh no, @Julie, we can't let you say that. Our article was published on March 4 (so two weeks before the DailyBéret hoax) and isn’t a hoax. Just click on Nicolas Trainerbees’ Facebook profile at the end of the article to see for yourself….
And this isn't a parody site—just check out our other articles. Seriously.

Nah, forget it… just like always, people «»»think»»» they know everything and just pass around a bunch of bits and pieces of information they’ve heard here and there, without checking anything or even understanding the words coming out of their own mouths ^^
As for the article, I don't know if that's possible, but it doesn't seem much less likely to me than Sarko or Hollande becoming president…. xDDDDDDDDD

Plus, THC binds to fat, so there’s no problem with honey—I’ve already tried it, and you don’t even need to heat it up. And that’s not science—it’s from personal experience!!!!!

He must be mixing propolis into his honey, because, as far as I know, bees make propolis from resin.

After consulting with several beekeepers: it's a hoax…
Honey is made from flower nectar... which cannabis does not produce. Therefore, it is obviously impossible to make honey from its flowers.

Hello. Bees gather nectar from flowers, and cannabis doesn’t contain any. They collect pollen, and the female flowers that make up cannabis don’t contain any, since it’s the non-psychoactive male plants that produce it. I don’t understand how that’s possible…

Nicolas has trained his bees to collect trichomes to produce «propolis,» which is then used in the hive. Once the bees have been trained to incorporate cannabis resin into their daily routine, the resin becomes part of the hive’s structure and slowly infuses the honey.

My daughter had a recurring breast infection for nearly two years after giving birth to her second child. She ended up in the hospital after developing sepsis and nearly died. She was only 22 years old. My husband and I have been smoking marijuana for years and have never had any health problems. We came across Rick Simpson hemp oil and decided to order some for our daughter. She took 2 c. a day orally, and I applied the oil topically to her wound (a large portion of her breast had been removed). Within two weeks, everything was gone. She hasn’t had an infection for two years now. Thank you, Rick Simpson—you’re truly an angel!!!
