Fluence Wins ’Lighting Company of the Year« at the First Annual EMJAYS Awards
An innovator in LED lighting honored by the International Cannabis Awards at MJBizCon, the world’s leading conference on the cannabis industry
AUSTIN, Texas, and ROTTERDAM, Netherlands–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Fluence, a leading global provider of energy-efficient LED lighting solutions for commercial cannabis and food production, announced today that it has been named «Lighting Company of the Year 2023» at the inaugural EMJAYS International Cannabis Awards ceremony.
EMJAYS is the result of a collaboration between award-winning event producers Farechild Events and MJBizCon, the cannabis industry’s largest trade show and media entity. The program recognizes leaders in the cannabis industry, including financial services organizations, branding and marketing firms, technology providers, and others.
«It is an honor to receive the very first EMJAYS Lighting Company of the Year Award,» said Michiel van Dam, CEO of Fluence. «Our success is only possible thanks to the hundreds of incredible growers we’ve worked with throughout our journey. We are committed to helping growers improve plant quality, increase yields, and achieve their operational goals, so they can not only grow smarter but also thrive.».
The award presented to Fluence comes on the heels of the Cannabis Business Times« publication of its eighth annual »State of the Cannabis Lighting Market” report, which shows that at least 70 % of commercial growers use LEDs to facilitate expansion, vegetative growth, and flowering. More than 60 % of the growers surveyed also achieved yields exceeding 50 grams per square meter of canopy using LED lighting fixtures.
The finalists and winners were honored at MJBizCon, which took place on November 30, 2023, at the Pearl Concert Theater at the Palms Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas. You can find the complete list of winners here.
