Devil’s Harvest Seeds is back with a new brand identity and more than ten new strains
Devil’s Harvest Seeds is launching a complete brand relaunch featuring a new visual identity, a redesigned website, and more than ten new cannabis strains. Without breaking with its history, the seed bank is highlighting a legacy rooted in decades of underground cultivation spanning Ireland and Amsterdam.
From its underground roots in Ireland and Amsterdam
The story of Devil’s Harvest Seeds began in the underground cultural scene in Ireland in the 1990s. At that time, long before the market for cannabis seeds, its founder was already devoting his time to selecting and cultivating plants that he considered superior to what was available at the time: more flavorful, resinous, and distinctive.
In 2007, the adventure took on a new dimension with the move to Amsterdam. Considered at the time to be the cannabis capital of the world, the city offered him privileged access to the entire cannabis ecosystem: historic coffeeshops, established breeders, institutions dedicated to the plant, and a thriving genetics scene. It was in this environment that Devil’s Harvest Seeds was officially founded.
From its inception, the seed bank has adopted a long-term approach to breeding. Each variety undergoes thorough phenotypic selection and stabilization over several generations. While potency remains an important criterion, the primary focus is on the plants’ organoleptic qualities. For Devil’s Harvest, the aromatic profile constitutes the true identity of a strain and what allows it to stand the test of time.
This approach has also helped position the brand in the premium segments of the cannabis genetics, particularly through varieties that have become iconic.
Shoreline and the varieties that built its reputation
Among the genetics associated with Devil’s Harvest, the Shoreline holds a special place. Developed through a stabilization process for a plant that was initially fragile, this variety has, over time, become one of the cornerstones of the catalog. Its complex flavor profile and its reputation in the extraction community have made it a benchmark in its own right.
Other strains have also helped build the brand’s reputation. Strains such as RLX OG Kush, Casey Jones, and Kuchi have helped Devil’s Harvest carve out a place for itself among the world’s leading breeders. Their regular presence in competitions and their adoption by growers and extractors have greatly contributed to the brand’s visibility.
This recognition has resulted in various awards won over the years. The seed bank has notably won titles at the High Times Cannabis Cup, the Spannabis Champions Cup, and the Elite Cup Amsterdam, as well as at competitions specializing in concentrates such as the Oregon Concentrate Challenge, the Oil Hunters Cup, and the Dabadoo. These accolades have helped establish its credibility in an industry where results achieved in the field remain a benchmark.
In addition to its breeding work, Devil’s Harvest has developed several collaborations with influential players in the cannabis genetics industry. Over the years, the bank has worked with organizations such as Barney’s Farm, DNA Genetics, Doja, Backpackboyz, and NorCal, resulting in various joint creations. This allows the brand to explore new strains while maintaining the breeding approach that has shaped its identity since its inception.
The Start of a New Chapter
This relaunch marks a new chapter in the history of Devil’s Harvest Seeds, going far beyond a simple change of logo or visual identity. The seed bank is unveiling a new website, updating its brand image, and expanding its catalog with more than ten new varieties resulting from several years of selective breeding.
This development comes at a time when the cannabis seed market has become much more crowded than it was when the bank first started. The range of products on offer has expanded considerably, the number of breeders has grown, and competition is now global. For long-standing players, the challenge lies as much in continuing to innovate as in preserving what has made them unique.
Alongside this relaunch, the brand is continuing to expand with the announced opening of the Devil’s Harvest Social Club in Barcelona.
Devil’s Harvest presents this relaunch as the continuation of a project begun nearly thirty years ago. From the first crops grown in Ireland in the 1990s to today’s selections, the company’s philosophy remains the same: taking the time to select, stabilize, and refine the genetics before bringing them to market.
