The Sour Tsunami is a hybrid with a high CBD content. It was created in Humboldt, California, by Lawrence Ringo of the Southern Humboldt Seed Collective. He created this strain primarily for self-medication, and it quickly became one of the first CBD cannabis strains to become so popular. Ringo suffered from severe back pain and didn't want to take opiate-based medication. So he developed this strain for use on himself.
This variety is mainly a cross between Sour Diesel and NYC Diesel, although there are other varieties in the mix such as Double Diesel and Ferrari. It took him 4 years to develop this variety, and the results are fantastic.
Sour Tsunami's CBD content is around 10 to 13%, with a CBD:THC ratio close to 1:1.
