We decided to use Durga Mata because it's one of our feminized strains which already has a reputation for producing massive, resinous flowers for indica-like relaxation to the benefit of those who consume it. The original Durga Mata was already a first choice for medical users, so we decided to enhance its therapeutic powers.
Durga Mata II CBD retains all the characteristics of the original. We understand that many medical patients are new to growing their own medicine and that's why we've chosen to develop a strain that is strong and reliable, easy to grow and highly tolerant for the novice grower.
The big difference between the original and the medical variety lies in the cannabidiol (CBD) content. As medical users know, CBD lacks the psychoactive qualities of THC and moderates the effects of this compound. We have bred Durga Mata II CBD into a plant with a CBD content of 8.5% (THC is 7%), making it more suitable for medical use.
Durga Mata II CBD is a reliable plant to grow. Like the original, it performs well indoors, particularly in a SOG (Sea Of Green) setup. It develops a robust main stem where clusters of flowers accumulate, oozing resin at the end of flowering. These rock-hard flowers have a complex scent: like a sweet perfume reminiscent of the exotic smell of «Loukoum» («Turkish delight»). The plants ripen in 56 to 58 days and give an impressive yield.
For the outdoor grower, this variety will also perform very well. It has pest-resistant genes and will grow well in moderate climates and less sunny regions of the world (such as Northern Europe and Canada), as well as in southern regions, where it thrives easily.
Durga Mata II offers an end result that brings relaxation and calm to the body when smoked or vaporized, but without the intoxicating «high» or «stoned» effect. Research has shown that medical cannabis has anti-seizure, anti-inflammatory, anti-nausea and anxiolytic effects.
