Lil Wayne launches his own cannabis brand
Lil Wayne has just launched his cannabis brand: GKUA Ultra Premium. The line of cannabis products is «designed to give consumers the best high of their lives.».
Unlike some of his peers, such as Mike Tyson, Lil Wayne does not oversee the entire cannabis production process. He sources his flowers from select growers and chooses strains with high THC content to offer exceptionally potent products.
«Before, I just wanted to get high; now I smoke to get inspired,» Lil Wayne said. «With GKUA, I’m sharing a feeling that I love.»
Upon its launch, the GKUA brand will be available at select dispensaries in Los Angeles, with plans to expand throughout California in 2020. The brand will offer the following products:
- GKUA Ultra Premium Flower: 3 strains with high THC content
- GKUA THC Vape: An exclusive THC extraction formula, paired with a proprietary vape pen
- GKUA Ultra Premium Concentrates
The launch party will take place in 2020. Lil Wayne is sure to tap into his network—including songwriters, models, and musicians—to create unique collaborations.
«The combination of our incredible products, our market knowledge, and our commitment to quality, coupled with the unparalleled fan base of Lil Wayne—the ultimate cannabis connoisseur—creates an unprecedented opportunity to build a cannabis brand that values creativity and artistic exploration,» said Beau Golob, president and co-founder of GKUA Inc.
«It’s an honor to lead this company alongside Lil Wayne, who offers a line of premium products that will inspire people and fuel their creativity. It’s historic and truly exciting!»
Lil Wayne joins a number of celebrities who have also launched their own cannabis brands, such as Willie Nelson, Seth Rogen or Whoopi Goldberg.
