Sales of recreational cannabis have far exceeded the expectations of dispensary owners in the state, who did not believe there would be long lines outside their stores when Nevada has become the fifth state to legalize the sale and cannabis cultivation in the United States. Some dispensaries had to close later than expected, while others even had to turn away customers.

Las Vegas: The New Amsterdam of the West Coast?
The city of Las Vegas welcomes approximately 43 million tourists each year. The Sin City This figure could skyrocket in the coming months.
The Nevada Department of Tourism plans to incorporate cannabis into its marketing campaign in order to determine how cannabis This legalization will attract more tourists.
However, tourism officials in the country avoid promoting cannabis because it is still illegal at the federal level.
Furthermore, cannabis use is permitted only in private settings. Use in public places remains prohibited in the United States, particularly in hotels and casinos. If caught, a user will be fined $600.
In the wake of this statewide ban, Nevada officials are struggling to envision the future and are reluctant to consider the idea that Las Vegas might become the new Amsterdam. Nevertheless, observers and members of the cannabis industry see considerable tourism potential in Las Vegas and throughout the state of Nevada.
